I built NY Bar Helper because my own bar application process was a mess.

What I Bring to the Table
Real Talk
I went to law school years after undergrad, with a resume full of random legal jobs, a few youthful screw-ups on my record, and — for extra flair — a lawsuit against my landlord happening mid-application. If there was a revision or extra piece of documentation they could ask for, they asked for it.
Now I help other people get it right the first time — because at this point, I’ve seen every edit under the sun.
Beginning
By the time I found out I passed the bar, I had no idea how to even start the application. It felt overwhelming, so I put it off — until I couldn’t anymore.
It doesn’t have to be that hard. I’ve learned exactly what needs to be done to avoid the endless back-and-forth. Now I help others get through it with less stress and fewer surprises.
Experience
Before I was formatting bar packets, I was helping asylum seekers tell their stories — and those applications didn’t leave much room for typos or half-truths. I learned quickly how to spot gaps, frame hard facts clearly, and make sure every questionable fact was answered in full. Now I bring that same level of precision (and paranoia) to every bar application I touch.
Why I Do This
Bar admission is already a black box — vague instructions, endless forms, no one to call. I don’t think it should feel like another exam. After going through it the hard way, I built this to give people the kind of clear, practical help I wish I had. No lectures. No judgment. Just your packet, done right.
You’ve done the hard part. Let us take it from here.
